The purpose of VIA Collaborative Arts Corporation is to:

(a) Foster an intelligent appreciation of the dance and related forms of artistic expression through performances, lectures and demonstrations.

(b) Provide training and performing opportunities for dancers and choreographers, to provide a means for them to display their abilities, and in so doing to provide similar opportunities for lighting designers, costume designers, scenic designers/artists, composers, musicians, and film/video/media artists.

(c) Conduct creative, artistic, and performance residencies in cooperation with institutions of higher education.

(d) Provide educational programs for schools and interested groups in dance technique, training, choreography and the production of dance programs.

(e) Engage in projects and programs which will integrate a variety of artistic disciplines in presentations and performance for the benefit of the general public.

To advance its mission, the corporation provides for the nurture, fiscal management, and operation of a group of dancers and choreographers who work together as "VIA Dance Collaborative." "VIA Dance Collaborative" is a registered assumed name (d/b/a) of the corporation.
