| Residencies & Education Formed through founding member Adrienne Westwood’s Kenan Fellowship at the Lincoln Center Institute for Arts in Education, VIA maintains a deep commitment to education. The company’s collaborative nature, thoughtfully integrating Lincoln Center Institute’s Aesthetic Education model, provides students with meaningful personal experiences in a variety of settings. Members have taught at all levels, from Montessori schools to universities and conservatories. The company has conducted unique residencies at the State University of New York College at Fredonia and at North Carolina School of the Arts, and VIA was recently a company in residence at Performática: an International Forum on Contemporary Dance and Movement Arts in Puebla, Mexico. VIA works with individual teachers and institutions to create programs tailored to the needs and abilities of the students. Coordinating with program directors and teachers, VIA will offer an experience that can be integrated into the students' yearlong studies. Whether teaching technique, or composition, or setting new work, VIA's collaborative spirit results in a lasting impression. For more information or to explore the possibility of hosting a residency custom tailored to your needs, please contact Adrienne Westwood at adrienne@viadance.org. |
